Job Purpose:
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to join Onoseke-vwe Agro Ventures Limited (OAVL) in Ughelli, Delta State.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance management, ready to take on a challenging role in a vibrant agricultural company.
- This position offers the opportunity to lead financial operations and contribute to the strategic growth and success of OAVL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support OAVL’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance, including cash flow, expenditures, and revenues.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external financial audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and financial risks.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems and processes.
- Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance management, accounting, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Experience with inventory management systems and processes.
- Ability to manage a financial/monitoring team and demonstrate leadership.
- Ability to monitor and evaluate financial and monitoring skills of communities through capacity-building efforts.
- Ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and finance software (Quickbooks) Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.
