DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.

HR Strategy & Planning

  • Leading the delivery and deployment of human resource strategic initiatives, policies and programs and ensuring alignment with business objectives and HR strategic priorities. This includes workforce planning, talent management, performance management, talent acquisition and onboarding, learning and development, succession planning, policy development, leadership development, employee engagement, compensation and reward, etc.
  • Communicate Human Resources strategies and approved operating plans to Functional Heads and Line Managers, thereby ensuring understanding and commitment.

Compensation & Reward Management

  • Develop & maintain a competitive and merit-based compensation system to support the company’s reward philosophy as well as its talent attraction and retention strategies.
  • Lead benchmarking activities and advise management on findings and their business implications.

Learning & Development

  • Develop technical & generic competencies to guide staff development.
  • Develop training plans based on identified training gaps.
  • Lead the training curriculum, facilitation and execution of all external & internal training programs.
  • Manage the company’s learning & development system.

Staff Records/Welfare & Others

  • Oversee the management of the company’s human resources information management system.
  • Ensure all employee contracts are issued and retained in the staff file.
  • Develop and circulate Employee Handbook, consolidating all policies and ensuring optimum organisational structure is maintained for the company.
  • Ensure annual vacation plan is developed and shared with Management.
  • Ensure the company identifies with staff during personal events (Birthday, Wedding etc.)
  • Handle all HR related issues as they occur or as advised by Management.
  • Direct and motivate team members in delivering people management mandates in line with key deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in any Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration or a related discipline is required.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources from any of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Nigeria, or its overseas equivalent (e.g. HR Certification Institute (HRCI), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) USA, Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) UK is required.
  • MBA or master’s degree in any related discipline is an advantage.
  • At least 10 years’ post-graduate HR experience, largely gained within a Leveraged Finance context or professional services environment
