Job Description
- We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Facility Management to lead and oversee the comprehensive management of facilities across our group of companies.
- You will be responsible for developing and implementing a centralized facility management strategy, ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and safe operation of all properties, and providing exceptional service to our employees and tenants.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive facility management strategy for the entire group of companies,ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct regular assessments of group-wide facility needs and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency,cost-effectiveness,and sustainability.
- Establish and maintain consistent facility management standards and policies across all companies.
Management and Oversight:
- Lead a team of facility management professionals,providing direction,coaching,and development opportunities.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all facilities,including maintenance,repairs,cleaning,security,and landscaping.
- Manage and monitor budgets for all facility-related activities,ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for various facility services (e.g.,security,cleaning,maintenance).
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health,safety,and environmental regulations across all facilities.
- Develop and implement proactive risk management strategies to minimize workplace accidents and property damage.
- Implement emergency preparedness and response plans for all facilities.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across the group,including company executives,department heads,and building occupants.
- Effectively communicate facility management policies,procedures,and updates to all relevant parties.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g.,IT,HR,Finance) to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and meet the needs of employees and tenants.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within facility management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple facilities in a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of facility management principles,best practices,and industry trends.
- Excellent leadership,communication,negotiation,and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word,Excel,PowerPoint).
- Experience with facility management software (e.g.,CMMS,CAFM) a plus.
- Valid Nigerian driver’s license (preferred).
