Responsibilities

Investigations Management

  • Oversee internal crime management systems, assign, supervise and manage investigations of potential violations of Halogen’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related internal and external corporate investigative matters as designated by corporate security and/or legal services
  • Respond to incidents of crime reported/possible internal issues, coordinate investigations and provide support for clients, their employees and customers alike
  • Investigate incidents in a timely manner, prepare the critical incident report and investigation summary and provide same to senior colleagues 
  • Follow up on incidents by providing assistance to colleagues and maintain contact with colleagues and agencies where necessary to ensure completion of investigations
  • Coordinate investigations with appropriate government agencies and/or appropriate federal law enforcement agencies when required/directed Manage personnel involved in conducting interviews, collect evidence in accordance with applicable laws, record and report the results of these investigations

 Process Improvement

  •  Identify the weakness of current control processes and recommend enhancements
  •  Develop mitigation procedures supporting corporate security strategies providing protection and response for violations of clients’ business ethics policy, both inside and outside the enterprise.

Intelligence Gathering/Reporting

  • Prepare and submit reports to Manned Guarding Leadership on vulnerabilities and threats to the business  operations
  • Obtain applicable reports from GSFs on incidents
  • Investigate reports, document findings and communicate to Risk Management
  • Submission of reports on criminal trends to management. 

Qualifications

  • First Degree from a reputable tertiary institution
  • Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
  • Professional qualification in security is essential.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related function
  • Experience with major law enforcement, public or private security management establishment 

 Competencies

  • Knowledge of Nigerian Criminal and Civil codes
  • Investigative Skills: Interview and interrogation skills

Risk Management 

  • Quality Management Process: QMS ISO9001:2015 
  • Good understanding of the local and international security industry and practice

  • Critical thinking & Problem-Solving Skills

Decision Making 

  • Effective written and verbal Communication Skills
