Job Overview
- The GM of sales is responsible for developing and deploying sales strategies that would guarantee the achievement of set targets by sourcing new and profitable projects.
Job Responsibilities
Business Development
- Network and partner with building construction companies and other proposed clients to create sales opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts for purchases and manage, renew, and review contracts as required to enable effective customer/supplier relations.
- Develop and maintain relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Comply with performance objectives and targets provided.
- Proactively liaise with the Inventory Team in obtaining the real-time inventory position.
- Contribute towards developing new sales strategies/techniques to attract new customers to the showroom.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of annual in-house exhibitions and conferences, as a deliberate sales/marketing strategy.
Team Member Management
- Support team members in pitching for and closing clients.
- Compile Weekly Team Reports.
- Coaching and developing team members.
- Present MPR reports on behalf of the Divisional Head when necessary.
Stakeholder Management
- Identify and approach potential clients, convert enquiries from potential clients to sales.
- Manage or escalate as appropriate customer complaints.
- Develop and cascade sales and marketing activities to ensure awareness of the company among target customer groups.
- Prepare proposals and quotations for the provision of total bathroom solutions, working with the team in preparing installation proposals.
- Analyze customers’ needs and collect customers’ information to recommend products to improve sales.
- Ensure clients are offered professional and quality service to increase sales.
- Maintain comprehensive database information on all existing relationships and prospects in liaison with information systems, and financial control functions.
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
- Perform sales and marketing duties as directed by the company.
Qualification & Requirements
- About 15- 20 years of core sales/business development experience generating leads, closing deals, and meeting targets.
- Experience working and serving High high-net-worth individuals.
- Great Communication Skills and Executive Presence.
- Strong Team Leadership Ability.
- Access to relevant networks in the Public sector will be an added advantage.
