  • As an Engineering Storekeeper you are responsible to receive, store and issue supplies and equipment, compile records of supply transactions and verify that supplies received are listed on requisitions and ensure that approved stock reorder levels are maintained.

Responsibilities

The ideal Candidate will (but not limited to)-

  • Responsible for the maintenance of maximum and minimum stocks levels.
  • Maintenance of inventory records accurately, preparation of material orders, receiving, inspecting and storing of supplies disbursed on job orders and material transfers.
  • Operate and maintain an effective engineering spare parts storage system.
  • Ensure that all engineering materials are receipted and booked in on the materials management system.
  • Match goods received with delivery notes from suppliers
  • Supervise Unloading and receiving of goods from suppliers
  • Ensure that all goods are immediately dispatched to store for which they are intended and that no goods are left unsecured or unsupervised on the loading bay
  • Distribute goods to Contractors on site as requested
  • Weekly requisitioning of materials required to maintain stock level
  • Enter all materials in and out of store into the ERP as they occur
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on daily Stock taking
  • Ensure proper security clearance is adhered at all times by all Suppliers
  • Ensure stores are kept clean, well arranged and tidy at all times.
  • Making sure the store runs smoothly and effectively.

Education and Experience

  • HND/BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related Field
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in similar role in manufacturing Industry
  • Experience as a Store Manager within the Manufacturing/Engineering industry will be an added advantage

Required Competence

  • Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment’s
  • Excellent Managerial, Organising, Supervisory, Time Management Skills
  • Good command of English
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems
  • Good understanding of store keeping and inventory Management Principles
  • Adept at using Microsoft office suites especially Excel
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders on-site and off-site.
  • Result oriented, organized, proactive, can prioritize effectively and multi-task to deliver results in a fast-paced work environment.
