Role Summary

• Cam is looking to hire a driver whose core values include; Accountability and Integrity. The most ideal candidate for this position will assist CŠm with all transport-related transport duties within and out of the state.
• The driver’s responsibility will include transportation of staff as well as products to and from designated locations, maintenance of the vehicle as well as maintaining a travel log to record tasks assigned.
• Candidates who would like to be considered for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no history of violating traffic laws.

Responsibilities

• The driver will be required to ensure the safe transportation of company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations within and outside the state in a timely manner.
• The driver will be required to assist with the loading and unloading staff luggage, products, and materials.
• The driver will ensure that all aspects of vehicle policy are being followed and enforced during your assignments
• Use of google maps and other technologies to navigate traffic and understand road conditions.
• Ensure the company’s vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
• The driver must ensure the company’s vehicle is fueled and serviced regularly.
• Ensure the company vehicle is always clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and overall vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure that standard speed limit for driving as set by the company and government laws is not exceeded
• Document and provide accurate time records of the company vehicle’s comings and goings.
• Report any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management in a timely manner.
• Comply with company internal policies as well as governmental policies.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification – High School Diploma
• 3 – 5 years working as a driver for an individual or a company
• Ability to use google map is an added advantage
• Basic communication in English and fluency in the required language(s)
• Must be able to read and write – fill forms, read SOPs and instructions in simple English language
• Ability and availability to work during weekends and occasionally travel
• A polite, professional disposition and good personal hygiene
• Punctual and reliable
• Good knowledge of standard driving practices
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• A valid driver’s license
• A clean driving record
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage.
