Position Overview
- We are looking for a skilled Credit Control Manager with a strong background in the FMCG, electronics, or appliances industries.
- The Credit Control Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s credit policies and procedures, ensuring that credit is granted appropriately and payments are collected within the agreed terms.
- This role is crucial in maintaining the company’s financial stability by minimizing credit risk and optimizing cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to minimize credit risk.
- Assess and approve credit applications, ensuring compliance with company credit policies.
- Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action to recover outstanding amounts.
- Conduct credit assessments and establish credit limits for new and existing customers.
- Negotiate payment terms and conditions with customers to support sales while minimizing risk.
- Prepare and present credit reports, including aging analysis, to senior management.
- Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to manage customer relationships and resolve payment issues.
- Lead and manage the credit control team, providing training and development to enhance their performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Liaise with external parties such as credit insurers and debt recovery agencies when necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit control management within the FMCG, electronics, or appliances industry.
- A bacheelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, and any other related field
- ACA, certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of credit management, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in managing credit control processes and reducing outstanding receivables.
- Proficiency in credit management software and MS Office applications.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
