Consultant Cardiologist needed at Sigma Consult

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Cardiologist to join our client, a multi specialist hospital in Abuja.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to patients with heart problems.
• The Consultant Cardiologist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions, as well as provide preventive care and advice to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures to evaluate and diagnose cardiovascular conditions.
• Interpret test results and make accurate diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their medical history, test results, and current health status.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patients’ response to treatment.
• Perform invasive procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, technicians, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records of patients.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements and research in the field of cardiology.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited university.
• Residency and fellowship training in cardiology.
• Board certification in cardiology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Cardiologist.
• Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Proficient in using medical equipment and technology.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
