Responsibilities
Compliance Program Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive compliance program tailored to organizational needs.
- Develop policies and procedures in line with applicable laws and regulations.
Risk Assessment:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify compliance risks.
- Analyze regulatory changes and their potential impact on operations.
Monitoring and Auditing:
- Perform audits of business units to evaluate compliance with internal policies.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
Training and Education:
- Develop training programs for employees on compliance-related topics.
- Create educational materials to enhance awareness of compliance issues.
Reporting:
- Prepare reports for senior management on compliance activities and risks.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies during inspections.
Collaboration:
- Work with legal counsel to align compliance initiatives with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
- Act as a liaison between management and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication regarding compliance issues.
Job competencies and capabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance or risk management roles.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering, GDPR).
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)) is highly desirable.
