Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Work Engineer / Earthen Infrastructure Manager to oversee the construction, maintenance, and management of earthen dykes, dams, irrigation facilities, and laterite/dirt roads. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in civil work related to earthen infrastructure and will be responsible for managing a team to ensure effective and efficient deployment of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the construction and rebuilding of earthen dykes, dams, irrigation facilities, and laterite/dirt roads.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upkeep and maintenance of dykes, irrigation facilities, and roads.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs for the upkeep and maintenance of earthen infrastructure.
- Formulate and adopt SOPs for flood arresting and protection measures.
- Prepare and monitor the annual budget for all land development activities and projects as planned by management.
- Ensure effective and efficient use and management of all earth-moving machinery, such as excavators and compactors.
- Manage and oversee the entire earthen infrastructure team, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
Experience and Competencies Required:
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in civil work related to earthen dam/dyke construction, maintenance, and rebuilding, as well as laterite/earthen road work and irrigation canal maintenance.
- Strong experience in handling earth-moving machinery such as excavators and compactors.
- A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in civil work related to earthen dykes/dams, laterite/dirt roads, or irrigation canals.
