Job Summary

The CFO will be responsible for developing and executing financial strategies that support our growth and fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as experience in fundraising and investor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s fundraising and growth objectives.

  • Lead fundraising efforts, including preparing fundraising materials, presenting to potential investors, and managing relationships with investors.

  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and auditors.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards.

  • Develop and maintain a robust risk management framework that identifies and mitigates financial risks.

  • Provide strategic financial advice to the executive team and board of directors.

  • Develop and implement financial and operational controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing finance team.

  • Ensure that all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards.

  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, operations, and HR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior financial leadership role.

  • Proven experience in fundraising and investor relations in a startup or growth-stage company.

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.

  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and auditors.

  • Excellent leadership and management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment preferred.
