Job Description

  • The Business Development Lead will be responsible for driving sales and marketing initiatives, registering the organization with IOCs,NOCs,OEMs, vendor selection and management.
  • It also involves ensuring customer’s satisfaction, exceeding targets, generating income and providing value for clients within the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Preparing the budget and revenue target for the department.
  • Effectively implement the department budget in order to drive sales and marketing initiatives to achieve set target
  • Making cold calls and booking meetingswith prospective clients.
  • Following up with Nipex bids, Tenders and RFQs in order to ensure success and to secure transaction for the organization.
  • Source partnership deals with OEMs and accredited distributors that can provide the required service for the upstream division of the company. Register with one (1) quarterly (or as required)
  • Identifies key resources required to implement strategy and achieve sales targets.
  • Research and identify business opportunities monthly with recommendations to the organization and ensure follow up to the execution stage.
  • Sell company brand by recommending value added solutions and develop a winning strategy i.e partnerships, subcontracts etc.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the organizations core competences and operational capabilities to provide solutions for customers resulting in profitable growth.
  • Assist in the assessment, design, and development of technical bidding requirements.
  • Support the development of project proposals; employ data gathering techniques and analysis in order to present proposed solutions to clients
  • Manage client expectations throughout the sales cycle and closing process
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities in the upstream oil and gas sector
  • Attend oil and gas networking events and conferences

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in the upstreamoil and gas business environment,
  • Bsc Degree in anyfield
  • Comprehensive understanding of the oil and gas business environments, issues and current trends.
  • Qualified applicants must demonstrate a consistent ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Proficient in using the Nipex Portal to identify relevant product codes
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives within middle market companies and marginal field entrants.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding presentation skills
  • Proximity to the island (Lekki/Ajah) axis is a plus.
