We are looking for an energetic, resourceful Business Development Lead professional to join our team. Based in Lagos, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing business opportunities.
You will collaborate with other members of the team, as well as external partners, and must be able to achieve results independently.
- Assessing business growth opportunities with new and existing clients
- Managing client relationships and sourcing for prospective clients
- Creating and developing tour packages with travel consultants
- Establishing and maintaining all aspects of industry partner relationships
- Carrying out business opportunity assessments to be presented using Microsoft Excel, Word or PowerPoint; ideally good with systems like Amadeus or Sabre
- Any other activity as assigned by supervisor Education and Experience
Education and Experience
- HND/BSc in any business-related discipline, MBA will be an added advantage
- 5 ÛÒ 7 years work experience with a minimum of 2 yearsÛª experience in a managerial role
- Must be good at product development; be a business developer within the travel space and have a good understanding of the travel industry
- Must have selling experience
- Must have business and tech background Experience in event planning/management will be an
- added advantage
- Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening
- Able to give and receive feedback and constructive criticism from a variety of channels
Other skills and traits
- Strategic planning, sales, and problem-solving skills. Leadership skills like self-motivation, goal setting, and monitoring progress.
- Should have good customer relationship management and experience working with high-profile clients
