Responsibilities: 

Market Activation:

  • Leverage strong field sales experience and deep knowledge of the Nigerian market to drive effective brand activation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to dominate open markets, ensuring the company’s products are the preferred choice for consumers and traders.
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess market conditions, competitor activities, and ensure brand visibility and availability.

Brand Activation & BTL Execution:

  • Plan and execute comprehensive BTL marketing activities that align with brand guidelines and resonate with target consumers.
  • Lead consumer and trade sampling initiatives to boost product trial and adoption.
  • Oversee the implementation of promotional campaigns, roadshows, and other activation events to enhance brand presence.

Visual Merchandising & In-Store Excellence:

  • Drive visual merchandising strategies to optimize product displays and enhance brand visibility in retail outlets.
  • Ensure that all in-store promotional materials are effectively utilized and aligned with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to monitor and improve the execution of merchandising plans.

Trade Relations & Customer Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners and retailers to ensure optimal product placement and promotional support.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop tailored activation plans for different market segments, including open markets and key accounts.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing activities, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize impact.

Reporting & Budget Management:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on activation performance, including insights on consumer behavior, sales trends, and competitive activities.
  • Manage the activation budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and ROI is maximized.

Reporting & Inventory Management

  • Submit monthly inventory and depletion reports of promotional items to maintain transparency and accuracy in stock management.

Event & Promotion Management

  • Assist, support, and organize trade fairs, promotions, events, and roadshows to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Manage and control inventory holdings of promotional materials, ensuring effective distribution and utilization.

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in field sales, trade marketing, or brand activation within the CPG industry, with a strong focus on the Nigerian market.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria to oversee activation initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing BTL marketing and brand activation campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian market dynamics, particularly in open markets and key retail channels.
