GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all guests in line with Peniel’s vision and values on guest satisfaction. The receptionist may be directed to perform jobs and tasks over the above what is required from Peniel Apartments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for welcoming and receiving Guest on arrival.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and apartments
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Responsible for building a good rapport with guests and resolving any complaints quickly to maintain high quality service.
  •  Deal with guest requests to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay.
  • Assist in dealing with customer complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing/seeking solutions as quickly as possible.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
  • Keep up to date with room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Report any complaints received from guest to the concerned department.
  • Receiving of guests mails and ensuring prompt delivery of same.
  • Suggesting possible alternative to guests complains.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • OND /HND or certification in hospitality.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in similar role.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Proficiency in opera software and Microsoft word.

WORKING CONDITIONS

DAYS OF WORK

  •  7 days with 2 days off in a week.
