Automobile Technician BMW & Mercedes-Benz Specialist needed at Mechanic on the Go

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automobile Technician with specialized expertise in BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of these luxury brands and will be capable of diagnosing and repairing a wide range of issues. This role is critical to providing high-quality service and ensuring the satisfaction of our clients who own BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive Diagnostics:

  • Perform detailed diagnostics on BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles to accurately identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.

  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software specific to BMW and Mercedes-Benz to analyze and interpret fault codes and system data.

• Engine and Transmission Repair:

  • Conduct complex repairs on engines, including timing chains, camshafts, valves, and other critical components, ensuring that the vehicle operates at optimal performance.

  • Service and repair transmissions, including automatic and manual gearboxes, ensuring smooth operation and longevity.

• Electrical System Repair:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including alternators, starters, wiring harnesses, and battery systems.

  • Work on advanced electronic systems such as ECU/ECM, sensors, and modules, ensuring all components communicate effectively and the vehicle runs efficiently.

• Suspension and Steering:

  • Repair and maintain suspension systems, including struts, shocks, control arms, and bushings, to ensure a smooth and safe ride.

  • Address steering issues, including power steering pumps, racks, and alignment to ensure precise handling.

• Braking System Maintenance:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair braking systems, including ABS, brake pads, rotors, calipers, and master cylinders, ensuring optimal stopping power.

• Exhaust and Emissions Systems:

  • Service and repair exhaust systems, including catalytic converters, mufflers, and oxygen sensors, ensuring compliance with emissions regulations.

  • Diagnose and repair emissions-related issues, ensuring vehicles meet required standards.

• Air Conditioning and Climate Control:

  • Diagnose and repair air conditioning and climate control systems, including compressors, condensers, and HVAC systems, ensuring optimal cabin comfort.

• Preventative Maintenance:

  • Perform regular maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tune-ups, to keep vehicles running smoothly.

  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

• Customer Interaction:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain diagnostic results, recommended repairs, and maintenance needs.

  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building long-term relationships.

• Continual Learning and Development:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology, tools, and techniques in BMW and Mercedes-Benz repair through training and professional development.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Certification from an accredited automotive technical school or equivalent experience. ASE certification is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specializing in BMW and/or Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Skills:

• Expert knowledge of BMW and Mercedes-Benz systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical, and electronic components.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software specific to BMW and Mercedes-Benz (e.g., ISTA/D, STAR Diagnostics).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
