Job Summary

  • As a Trips Manager in the logistics team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the drivers and assistant drivers on each trip each truck embarks on.
  • You will ensure that trips are executed efficiently, safely, and on time, while also meeting clients’ requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate trips, including route optimization, driver assignments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and government laws
  • Monitor trip progress, address any issues or delays, and provide updates to partners
  • Manage driver schedules, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR/Admin, Repair and maintenance
  • Analyze trip data to identify trends, optimize routes, and improve efficiency
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation / Transportation / Logistics, Transportation, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or trip management
  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations, transportation regulations, and safety standards
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in logistics software, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and global positioning systems (GPS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with route optimization software and transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Knowledge of lean logistics and process improvement techniques
  • Certification in logistics or transportation, such as CTL or CTP.
