Architect needed at City Sports Group

Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Architect to join us at City Sports Group. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of architectural principles to design sports facilities to create the next generation of sports spaces that inspires athletes.

Job Description
As a Sports Facility Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Meeting with clients to discuss project objectives, needs, and budget
• Preparing and presenting design proposals, including functional designs that meet the unique needs of athletes not limited to sports arenas, sports complexes and recreational centers
• Meeting with construction professionals, clients and stakeholders to discuss feasibility of designs considering factors like topography and environmental impact
• Reviewing local rules and regulations to ensure the construction project falls within all constraints and site assessment for compliance to sports governing body requirements
• Specifying materials needed for construction of projects that enhance durability and performance
• Working with 3D modelling architectural software to create blueprints and visualisation of the proposed sports facilities
• Working with contractors, surveyors, and building service engineers to create a construction schedule and bring the designs to fruition
• Coordinating work between various contractors and construction management
• Supervising construction of buildings to ensure projects meet deadlines, stay on budget, adhere to the design vision and address any unforeseen challlenges

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Design or related field (M.Arch preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Modelling tools, knowledge of REVIT is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience  in sports facility design
• Visual, Written and Oral Communication Skills with high level of creativity
• Understanding of construction technologies.
