App Developer Trainer needed at Vennote Technologies Limited

Position Overview:

• We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable App Developer Trainer to conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for school students in Lekki. The trainer will teach students the fundamentals of mobile app development, guiding them through the process from concept creation to building and deploying fully functional mobile apps. The goal is to inspire students to develop coding, problem solving, and creative skills through practical, hands-on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Deliver Training: Create and deliver interactive lessons on mobile app development (Android/iOS) tailored to the students’ age and skill levels.
• Curriculum Development: Develop and adapt a curriculum that introduces key concepts such as UI/UX design, coding languages (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript), app testing, and deployment.
• Hands-on Learning: Lead coding workshops where students work on projects to develop and deploy mobile applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Mentoring & Support: Offer individualized guidance and feedback, helping students troubleshoot and develop problem solving abilities.
• Engage & Inspire: Create a dynamic and fun learning environment that encourages students to explore app development and express their creativity.
• Monitor Progress: Track and evaluate student performance, adapting your teaching approach to suit their learning needs.
• Stay Updated: Ensure that the curriculum remains current by staying informed on the latest trends and tools in app development and deployment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in App Development: Strong knowledge of app development platforms (iOS, Android), programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, and experience with deploying apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching or training, especially for young learners, is preferred.
• Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for simplifying technical concepts and engaging students.
• Patience & Enthusiasm: Ability to connect with school-age students, maintain patience, and foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Creativity: Talent for designing engaging projects and activities that make learning fun and interactive.
• Problem Solving: Experience troubleshooting code and teaching students how to debug and resolve issues.
• Educational Tools: Familiarity with beginner-friendly platforms like MIT App Inventor, Scratch, or other educational tools is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting.
• Certifications in mobile app development or teaching.
