Accounts Assistant needed at iRecruiters Africa Limited

Key Objective:

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring financial transactions, processing invoices and maintaining financial records.
• S/he will play a crucial role in contributing to the overall financial health of the company by providing efficient and reliable accounting support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Monitor and control expenses to ensure they are within budget.
• Process payroll on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records and track payments.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Prepare and submit financial reports to the Head of accounts.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist with audits and tax returns.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by head of accounts/operations.

Requirements
Key Requirements:

• Minimum of OND in Accounting or any other related courses.
• 3 years of experience as an account’s assistant in any reputable organization.
• AAT certification will be an added advantage.
• High proficiency in Sage/Peach tree accounting software.
• Strong numeracy and accuracy skills, along with the ability to learn quickly.
• Display a flexible, professional approach and have the confidence and ability to communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate the ability to cope with deadlines and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
• Be a good team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and procedures necessary to produce deliverables
