Accountant Agribusiness needed at Westfield Consulting

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance, and deliver strategic financial insights to drive growth in our agribusiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting:

• Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Maintain accurate and timely accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Financial Analysis:

• Analyze financial performance and provide insights.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

Accounts Payable/Receivable:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely payment and collection.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer records.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze variances.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns.
• Audit and Financial Reporting:
• Coordinate with external auditors.
• Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders.

Other Responsibilities:

•  Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide financial training to staff.
• Participate in special projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA).
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of agribusiness operations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsƒƒƒ.
