Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Respond to inquiries from management, auditors, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4 – 5 years relevant work experience.
- Proven work experience as an Account Officer or similar role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Completion of NYSC – Discharge or Exemption Certificate required
- The applicant must be residingin Ogun / Lagos State.
