Job Summary:

We are looking for a Store Assistant to join our team in a busy supermarket. The Store Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting in the day-to-day operations of the store, and helping to ensure the store runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and answer any questions about the store or products
• Assist customers with selecting products, making recommendations, and answering questions about product features
• Stock shelves and keep displays clean and organized
• Ensure shelves are adequately stocked with products
• Receive and process customer payments
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with unloading of delivery trucks
• Monitor inventory levels and order stock as needed
• Maintain accurate records of stock and orders
• Assist with general administrative tasks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail experience is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy items
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Working knowledge of computers and other related technology
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to use a POS system
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
