Job Overview
We are helping our client in the real estate/construction industry by recruiting a Store Manager to oversee and manage inventory operations effectively. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience in inventory management, storekeeping, or a related role, with a strong focus on accuracy and organization.
Location: Island, Lagos
Monthly Pay: 150,000 Naira Gross
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels meet demand.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and update stock records consistently.
- Forecast inventory needs and reorder materials when stock levels are low.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of goods, adhering to quality and quantity standards.
- Track orders and deliveries to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of items to prevent damage.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for inventory, including receipts, issue vouchers, and stock cards.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, usage, and discrepancies.
- Work with the finance team to reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
- Inspect items for damage, quantity, and quality upon delivery.
- Report any defective or missing items to relevant departments for corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for inventory management.
- Liaise with other departments to coordinate stock needs and ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or similar roles.
- Minimum of an HND or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with inventory management software is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for vendor coordination and internal reporting.
- Ability to anticipate stock needs and address issues promptly.
- Willingness to engage in physical tasks, including lifting and moving inventory as needed.
