About the Role:

  • The Manager, People Operations is responsible for managing and promoting a positive work environment founded on Sankore’s core values, ethics, and best practices. This role is responsible for maintaining a strong team culture, ensuring team member life cycle processes support team growth, and engagement in compliance with applicable labor practices.
  • The Manager, People Operations is expected to advise, guide, and support members of the People Operations team as principal advisor to senior leadership in developing and implementing strategic people policy and processes aligned to organizational objectives.
  • The Manager, People Operations is expected to also lead efforts to support continuous improvements (CI), and change management as well as coaching managers and staff throughout the organization. He/She is responsible for directing the People Operations unit with proficient managerial capabilities and supervision to support daily activities and responsibilities.

You will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, collaborating with department heads to attract top talent, and ensure a positive onboarding experience that aligns with company culture.
  • Manage performance reviews, support employee growth, and align career paths with organizational goals.
  • Develop initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, addressing employee feedback and promoting engagement to improve retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, facilitating conflict resolution and supporting a fair, respectful workplace.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, manage employee benefits and welfare programs, and address employee inquiries to support overall satisfaction.
  • Handle employee relations, respond to grievances, and resolve workplace issues.
  • Manage all aspects of employee offboarding, including exit interviews, knowledge transfer, and necessary documentation to ensure smooth transitions and compliance with company policies.

Administration:

  • Manage company phone systems and provide efficient handling of calls.
  • Coordinate guest reception to ensure a welcoming, professional experience.
  • Handle vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, and relationship management to ensure quality service and cost-effectiveness.
  • Administer employee loan programs, monitor repayments, and manage departmental budgets, ensuring expenses align with allocated resources.
  • Oversee office facilities to maintain a safe, organized, and functional workspace.
  • Administer and monitor employee loan programs, including application processing and repayment tracking.
  • Manage departmental budgeting to ensure financial alignment with corporate goals and optimize resource allocation.
  • Supervise procurement processes to support organizational needs and maintain inventory levels.
