Responsibilities
Surveillance and Monitoring:
- Monitor CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activities or unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, including hallways, parking areas, and common areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access.
Incident Management:
- Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, or incidents like theft, trespassing, or disorderly behavior.
- Report and document incidents and suspicious activities accurately in the security log.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement in case of emergencies or criminal activities.
Access Control:
- Maintain and monitor entry points and restrict unauthorized entry.
- Issue, check, and manage guest and staff identification badges or keys/cards.
- Ensure that all security procedures and policies are strictly followed by guests and staff.
Customer Service and Safety:
- Assist guests with information regarding security and emergency protocols.
- Escort guests and staff to designated locations when necessary, especially in cases of emergencies.
- Provide support in managing crowd control during hotel events or emergencies.
Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire, medical situations, or evacuation scenarios.
- Follow established emergency protocols and coordinate with other staff members during crises.
- Assist in implementing and conducting emergency drills, fire drills, or evacuation procedures.
Asset Protection:
- Protect the hotel’s physical assets and valuables from theft, damage, or loss.
- Conduct routine checks on key areas like storage rooms, VIP suites, and other restricted areas.
- Ensure that equipment, such as alarms, surveillance systems, and locks, are maintained and functioning correctly.
Report Writing:
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, irregularities, or unusual occurrences.
- Document any lost and found items, and follow hotel policies for handling them.
- Maintain communication logs, shift reports, and incident reports accurately.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE, GCE
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong observation and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.
- Basic understanding of CCTV systems, access control, and alarm systems.
