Job Summary

  • The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes on a project.
  • This role involves coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the completion of all construction inspections and testing services to meet project quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review subcontractor or supplier quality document submittals (Quality Plans, Inspection Test & Plans, procedures), to ensure effective controls are in place in key areas.
  • Prepare the QAQC project documentation (Project Quality Plan, Project Procedures and/or Instructions, Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans, Checklists) In line with the contractual requirements and the applicable international standards and codes.
  • Check and review construction/installation sketches and/or shop drawings, ensure that the sketches/drawings conform to the project specifications and standards.
  • Coordinates with the client representatives on matters involving quality assurance and control activities.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of materials, components, and finished products or services to identify quality issues, defects, or non-conformities.
  • Monitor overall construction performance with regard to technical quality and compliance with design and specification requirements
  • Assist with obtaining permits and other necessary documentation.
  • Review specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to understand quality requirements, tolerances, and acceptance criteria for deliverables.
  • Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests using precision tools, equipment, and instruments to verify material dimensions, appearance, and functionality.
  • Collect and analyze quality data, metrics, and performance indicators to evaluate process capabilities, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document and report quality findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken, maintaining accurate records, logs, and inspection reports for traceability and accountability.
  • Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering and mechanical construction relating to Civil
  • Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents.
  • Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes.
  • Liaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to Consultant
  • Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for inspection.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a QAQC role, preferably in construction.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and production schedules.
  • Strong background in health and safety regulations.
