- As a Clinical Psychologist Intern, you will work closely with experienced psychologists and other mental health professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Psychological Assessments: Assist in administering and scoring psychological tests, and gathering client histories for comprehensive evaluation.
- Provide Therapy Support: Assist in individual, group, or family therapy sessions, under the supervision of licensed psychologists.
- Case Management: Maintain accurate and detailed case notes on clients’ progress, including therapy notes, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with supervising clinicians to develop customized treatment plans based on client needs and diagnoses.
- Crisis Intervention: Support clients in crisis situations by providing emotional assistance and identifying strategies to reduce immediate stress.
- Research and Data Collection: Participate in data collection and research for ongoing psychological studies or client assessments.
- Client Education: Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatments.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure that all client information and records are kept confidential in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Media Engagement: Assist in creating and managing mental health-related content for the organization’s social media platforms to raise awareness and promote services.
- Tech-Savvy: Utilize various digital tools and platforms to support teletherapy sessions, manage client records, and assist with administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to provide holistic care.
- Professional Development: Attend supervision sessions and professional development training to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on current psychological practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology. Recent graduates or individuals completing their NYSC are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 0-2 years of clinical experience (internships or volunteering experience in a mental health setting is an advantage).
