Job Summary

  • The Head of IT is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and operations.
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of IT systems, processes, and technologies. The Head of IT will be instrumental in driving the organization’s digital transformation and ensuring the effective use of technology to achieve its goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the organization’s overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data, including implementing robust security measures and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage IT projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Stay abreast of emerging IT trends and technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage them for competitive advantage.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or advanced certification in IT (e.g., CISSP, CISM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects and initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
