Job Profile:

The DISC Field Finance Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reports on DISC project to the HQ Supervisors, while partnering with SFH corporate finance team, DISC field staff, and State Stakeholders to deliver wider organizational goals by fostering proper financial and administrative compliance and timely reporting.

Job-role: 

The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

Finance Operations:

  • Review and reconcile expense GLs on SAP and bank statement
  • Ensure completeness of all financial documents
  • Ensure scanning of all completed documents and put on a share drive.
  • Ensure proper filing of all field documents.

Field Operations:

  • Review field staff activity retirement documents including all the LGA’s in the state
  • Submit the above documents to SPM for final review and approval signature
  •  Post CMs and Providers payments on SAP to be released by supervisor
  •  Prepare CMs and providers payment schedule and upload schedule on bank portal for approval and release

Bank reconciliation:

  • Ensure reconciliation of DISC State Naira bank account.

Administration:

  • The finance officer will also work in the capacity of the field Program assistant who will provide support and create balance in the time and scope of executing project activities and keep a tag on programmatic deliverables. Coordinate travel needs, schedule meetings and develop activity documents for proper filing and retrieval for Audit reviews.
  • Ensure smooth running of the state office
  • Carryout other responsibilities as assigned to me by HQ Project Accountant and the State Supervisors

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum B.sc/HND Accounting, ACA will be an added advantage
  • 4 years Post NYSC Experience
  • Demonstrate ability from previous experience to perform and relate very well with accounting terms and procedures.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and grow into the system and work with other stakeholders for achieve the corporate objectives of SFH.
  • Demonstrate ability to work closely in teams and develop others

Skills and Competencies required

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of Bank Reconciliation Processes
  • Knowledge of the use of Excel
  • PMT Processes
