Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze book keeping and accounting information for internal use .
- Prepare initial draft of accounting records of transactions as specified by generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP)
- Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoice, statements, etc.
- Reconcile processed work by verify entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Maintain historical records.
- Pay employees by verify expense reports and preparing salary schedules.
- Pay vendors by scheduling payment vouchers and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance.
- Prepare analyses of account and produce monthly reports
- Continuing to improve the payment process
- Prepare profit and loss statements and assist the management in preparation of budgets, forecast, balance sheet, statement of cash flow.
- Assist the in managing its investment portfolio.
- Assume responsibility of accounting procedures.
- Evaluate the company’s performance using key data.
- Monitoring cash flow, especially during busy seasons when there is a higher risk of cash shortages.
- Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making.
- Conduct risk assessment and advice on ways to minimize risk.
- Advise on problems and suggest improvement.
- Supervise all lower-level personnel in the account department.
- Any other duty as assigned by line manager.
Requirements and Skills
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or similar field.
- 5 years’ experience from a similar position in an agricultural business or frozen food manufacturing business and other related manufacturing business.
- Relevant professional certification is a plus e.g. CFA, CPA, CGMA, ACCA.
- Solid understanding and experience in accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Adaptable to working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment, striving for continuous improvement and optimization.
- Proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
- Excellent communication, instructional, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
