Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze book keeping and accounting information for internal use .
  • Prepare initial draft of accounting records of transactions as specified by generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP)
  • Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoice, statements, etc.
  • Reconcile processed work by verify entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Maintain historical records.
  • Pay employees by verify expense reports and preparing salary schedules.
  • Pay vendors by scheduling payment vouchers and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance.
  • Prepare analyses of account and produce monthly reports
  • Continuing to improve the payment process
  • Prepare profit and loss statements and assist the management in preparation of budgets, forecast, balance sheet, statement of cash flow.
  • Assist the in managing its investment portfolio.
  • Assume responsibility of accounting procedures.
  • Evaluate the company’s performance using key data.
  • Monitoring cash flow, especially during busy seasons when there is a higher risk of cash shortages.
  • Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making.
  • Conduct risk assessment and advice on ways to minimize risk.
  • Advise on problems and suggest improvement.
  • Supervise all lower-level personnel in the account department.
  • Any other duty as assigned by line manager.

Requirements and Skills

  • A  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or similar field.
  • 5 years’ experience from a similar position in an agricultural business or frozen food manufacturing business and other related manufacturing business.
  • Relevant professional certification is a plus e.g. CFA, CPA, CGMA, ACCA.
  • Solid understanding and experience in accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Adaptable to working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment, striving for continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace).
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, instructional, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
