Special Needs Coordinator needed at Lead British International School Limited

The SEN Coordinator will:

• Provide support and guidance to pupils with special educational needs and direction to those engaged with them, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, raise aspirations and achieve full potential.
• Monitor and evaluate learning programmes and progress towards targets for students with SEN to ensure their effectiveness;
• Implement systems for identifying, assessing and reviewing Special Educational Needs (SEN) students;
• Create and implement transition plans for new and existing SEN pupil;
• Monitor resources to ensure a high quality experience for students and staff;
• Put provision in place to ensure that progress of pupils with SEN improves relative to those without SEN.
• Support departmental developments of SEN provision.
• Demonstrate empathy, humility and genuine care about pupils, taking time to support, guide and motivate them.
• Maintain and update the inclusion and intervention register.
