Backend Developer – API and Enterprise Application Development needed at Doheney Services Ltd

Position Overview:

• We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer to build scalable APIs and enterprise-level applications capable of serving millions of users.
• This role requires expertise in building robust backend systems, along with the ability to develop frontend interfaces when necessary.
• You will be instrumental in driving the company’s growth by ensuring that our backend systems are secure, scalable, and built with a strong DevOps culture.
• A key part of this role will involve deploying solutions in AWS and ensuring the system is optimized for health-tech applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs for enterprise applications with the capacity to handle millions of users.
• Work on full-stack development, with experience building frontend solutions using ReactJS, NextJS, and backend solutions using NestJS, NodeJs, and Express.
• Implement microservices architectures and work with event streaming tools like Kafka and Zookeeper.
• Build containerized applications using Docker and other container orchestration platforms to ensure efficient, scalable deployments.
• Leverage AWS services for application deployment, set up environments, manage resources, and ensure high availability and scalability.
• Lead and participate in code reviews, peer reviews, and system design discussions to improve overall system quality.
• Collaborate with mobile and frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end solutions.
• Establish robust security, performance monitoring, and scaling strategies for applications.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in API development with NodeJS, NestJS, and Express.
• Extensive experience with ReactJS and NextJS for frontend development.
• Experience with Kafka, Zookeeper, and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration tools.
• Hands-on experience with AWS DevOps, including EC2, S3, CloudFormation, and serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, load balancing, and disaster recovery planning.
• Knowledge of health tech standards such as HIPAA compliance and data security.
• Ability to write well-documented, clean, and scalable code.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience working as a backend developer
• Experience working in the health-tech sector.
