Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer needed at Sigma Consult

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team.
• The successful candidate will have a solid background in production and manufacturing, coupled with knowledge of the solar industry.
• The HSE Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance with HSE policies.
• Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Lead safety training and awareness programs for all employees to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
• Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to ensure that safety practices are integrated into all operations.
• Ensure that all necessary HSE documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and available as required by regulatory authorities.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to HSE.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in production and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of safety practices and regulations within the solar industry is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using HSE software and tools for reporting and analysis.
